2024 Vision Board

My shih-tzu Luca helping me with my 2024 vision board.

A new year is upon us, happy 2024. With a new year this means that we have another 365 days to make new memories, seek opportunities, be with loved ones, make new friends, and seek possibilities that bring us joy.

Twice a year for the past two-plus decades, I have hosted vision board events for women to create their aspired visions that they wish to manifest in their lives. It has been, and still is, my favorite time of year to think about what I personally wish to manifest; I look at my business, personal life, travel, home and what I wish to learn in the new year. Usually I revisit my vision board mid-year, during summer solstice, and since 2020, I have made a point to revisit my vision board every quarter. This helps me reconnect with the vision I had for my life at the beginning of the new year, and check-mark what has been manifested, add new visions, or just be still with what I created in full gratitude.

Ask yourself what you wish to manifest in the next three months, six months or in a year. Start your own vision board, and create it with words, photos, magazine cut-outs, or create your own designs. Words are powerful, so choose words that are specific to what you wish to manifest, be clear and concise. Be creative. Be spontaneous. Think outside the box. The possibilities are there for you, you just have to believe you can manifest what you wish to manifest for your life.

There are a couple of books I consistently read every end of year in the month of December, and one of them is Tuesdays With Morrie, a memoir by Mitch Albom. If you haven’t read this book, I highly recommend it. My first introduction to this book was in 1999, it was a gift from a friend, and the beginning of my own lessons in living a meaningful life. It was then, that I began to create vision boards with friends. Mitch Albom wrote this memoir, and I am grateful that he did, as this book truly changed the way I think about living life in joy every day.

Create a vision board to bring joy to your life with new memories that you will always carry in your heart.

In Gratitude,

Dr. Rev. Sadie Laurenti-Whitley
